The ask
The Pilbara Environmental Offset Fund (PEOF) was established to streamline biodiversity offset delivery in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.
However, proponents often face challenges converting offset obligations into on-ground projects that meet compliance, ecological integrity, and community expectations.
Many are under prepared for the strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, and complexity of implementation.
What we did
ERS has developed a specialised offer that provides support for the full lifecycle of PEOF project delivery.
This includes identifying suitable offset sites, aligning with regulatory and ecological criteria, engaging with Traditional Owners and landholders, designing robust monitoring and reporting frameworks, integrating drone-based mapping and GIS analytics, plus biodiversity project design.
By doing this, we provide scalable, transparent delivery pathways to support success in the industry.
What we achieved
Our comprehensive PEOF approach ensures that offset projects are scientifically credible, regulator-approved, and delivered efficiently.
By streamlining compliance and unlocking long-term environmental and social co-benefits, ERS is partnering with clients to deliver PEOF-aligned projects across the Pilbara.
Results
Turnkey PEOF offset delivery model ready for activation
Scalable monitoring frameworks using UAV and remote sensing
End-to-end project design and implementation support
